The Features:

The Mt500 Jersey is made with an insulated body with warmth being the main priority. It isn’t a waterproof jersey but it’ll certainly do it’s bit to keep the warmth in for longer. It comes with great wicking properties to keep the damp out to allow you to perform at your best.

The sleeves are made from an extra durable ripstop meaning that they’re withstand any bumps or bruises you may take out on the trails. Any close shaves between the trees won’t be an issue any more! The material is fully windproof so you don’t have to worry about that penetrating wind when you’re out on the bike. Though you may need an outer layer if the it’s a damp day.

Performance:

We found the Mt500 jersey to be very well ventilated with a mesh underarm panel to really optimise the ventilation. We certainly felt warm & comfortable in the jersey, without it being particularly restrictive. Despite the warmth Endura haven’t used too much material in the making of the jersey. Meaning it was light on the body allowing you to perform at your best.

The silicone gripper on the rear did it’s part to hold the jersey in place – and the pockets on the sides did their bit to hold any valuables. We also found these were very well placed to stay out of the way of a rucksack. The zipped pocket on the Mt500 jersey was great for any smaller valuables such as the phone or car keys while you were out on the trails. And the discrete front pocket came in useful – especially to clean the glasses half way round.

Aesthetics:

It’s no secret that at cyclestore we love a black/yellow combination. The jacket has a very sleek – minimalist design. The MT500 jersey isn’t too bold and has an almost retro aesthetic. It hugs the body nicely without being too close, we’d definitely happily wear this out on the trails.

Available in black or black/yellow, there’s a plain option to suit most outfits. Although the jersey isn’t exactly the most visible, this isn’t really necessary for the most part. A small endura logo on the chest and sleeve are the only branding on the jersey.

Verdict:

On the cheaper side at just shy of £49.99, this jersey is definitely one to consider. Comfortable and durable, the MT500 Jersey will really allow you to perform at your best out on the trails. A slightly retro appearance will appeal to some tastes and not others, though the performance is up near the top of the range.
