With a race fit, the SL Primaloft range has been kept as minimal as possible. That being said, it’s still designed to be comfortable for the “larger rider”. This is to allow all the maneuverability you need out on the bike. It’s great to see that Endura have managed to engineer the gear so that none of the insulation has been sacrificed to offer the lightweight feel.

PrimaLoft® is a market leader in synthetic padded insulation. Used regularly on apparel in ski and outdoor products, Endura have introduced to the bike clothing with great results. Not only does it provide excellent warmth to weight ratio, meaning that it is extremely warm without being heavy but it also has inherent water resistant properties. With insulation being the primary goal, it’s nice to see that through most of the range Endura have also offered good quality ventilation. It’s certainly not massively waterproof for when the days turn really bleak, but it’ll keep you warm on the drier days.
Endura have designed the range with a nod to functionality too. By working with their extensive set of high riders, they’ve captured exactly what the requirements of each item are. This goes right down to the finer details such as zips in the right places, healthy sized pockets. Often the things that go un-noticed when done well, but you’ll know as soon as they’re done badly!

Verdict:
A fantastic range for the cold winter days, if the wind is up and the heavy rain stays off, we’d recommend the SL Primaloft items. Sleek, stylish and fast, they won’t get in the way while you do your thing out on the roads. Definitely worth every penny of the investment and now a lot of the range is available at a reduced cost.
