This months bike of the month has been a little trickier to choose, until I asked someone how they got on with their new Kona Rove ST and there response was “Flipping brilliant, I did 7 hours on it, I just road everywhere!” (I’m sure it was Flipping anyway)
So what is the Rove ST? Kona Describe it as “The new generation of large-tire, disc-brake road bikes has the Rove ST to thank for getting them started. Based on our do-it-all CX bikes and given a ride-it-forever steel frame, the Rove ST has roots based in the mud but has grown into a bike that can do everything, from your local CX race to gravel grinders and everyday commutes. Truly, it’s the one bike you look to when you need one bike to do it all.”
As some of you may now we love a steel Kona down here at the Cycle Centre, we also love SRAM 1×11 and we (some of us anyway) like riding road bikes on roads and terrain that they really arn’t suitable for, so the tubeless is essential.
A nice shade we have called “gentleman’s green” really suits the narrow steel tubing giving the bike a cool look combining classic road lines and modern parts and technology, however if you’d prefer an aluminium frame that is available too.
Complete bike is £1299 which we think is pretty good for a bike you can do so much on, commute, tour or even just ride and just ride you will, everywhere year round.
